Hasamelis is an Old God, who was left behind when the Shard was stolen and lost. He was turned to stone by Eleri (or one of her incarnations) and when he awoke, vowed revenge on her.
Since, he’s had a change of mind, and is particularly enamoured with Eleri, who doesn’t seem to mind the attention either way, although her heart has only place for Yorath.
