• Origin: local Gloucester stock. He has the weather-beaten face of a man who has pruned roses during the Blitz and mowed lawns during the fall of Empires.

• The Vibe: Grumpy, earthy, and deceptively simple. He pretends to care only about mulch, but harbours a secret, steamy romantic soul.

• The Vice: Helier’s Literature.

  • Boothroyd is the number one fan of The Hoarder Vampires. He treats the smutty historical fiction as gospel (and erotica).

• Current Mission: Descending into the flooded cellar armed with a musket, a spear, and a yellow inflatable dinghy to hunt the “Sewer Dragon.”
