Nanny Chraddock, affectionately called Cranky by Illi Fergusson, is a sharp-tongued and pragmatic woman, with a passion for creature comforts and a tendency to grumble about the hardships of their journey. She’s a bit of a quirky character, with a love for tea and crumpets that borders on obsessive. Despite her grumpiness, she has a heart of gold and a deep affection for her companions.
She reluctantly follows the Fergusson family in their adventures, and often proves herself to be the voice of reason.
